πŸ… New Mayor & Deputy Mayor Elected πŸ… Following the decision of Councillor Alexandra Boyd to step down as Mayor to focus on her health, a new Mayor of Wilton was elected at this evening’s meeting of Wilton Town Council. Cllr Chris Harrison, who has served as Deputy Mayor since May 2025, was duly elected by Councillors to the role of Mayor, until the end of this Mayoral term (May 2026). Cllr Harrison has lived in Wilton for eight years, and has served as a Town Councillor since January 2024. He brings with him a wealth of experience in project delivery and leadership across the retail, banking and technology sectors. Cllr Charlotte Blackman was elected to the role of Deputy Mayor. Cllr Blackman has a background in insurance and complaints handling. Now retired, she has served as a Town Councillor since 2002 and has led on a number of community projects, including the outdoor gym at Castle Meadow. Our new Mayor and Deputy Mayor will be instrumental in leading our Council during the remainder of this term, as we work towards some ambitious plans to improve the town. Cllr Boyd continues in her role as Town Councillor and will be supporting local events whenever her health allows. Wilton Town Council currently has a vacancy for one Town Councillor, who will be appointed through co-option.
