She has deep commitment to the pastoral care and emotional well-being of those around her - she consistently demonstrates a heartfelt passion for helping, supporting, uplifting and empowering those around her. Through thoughtful acts of kindness, active listening, and fostering a sense of community, she endeavours to create a nurturing environment where everyone feels valued and supported.

Charlotte moved to Wilton in 1998 to work in complaints handling and health insurance. Now retired, she and her husband enjoy cycling adventures and motorhome touring.

 

She has been Chair of Trustees at Wilton Community Centre for over a decade and is a trustee of Michael Herbert Memorial Hall and Wilton United Charities. She volunteers with Wilton Riding for the Disabled and played a key role in Wilton Help during COVID, delivering essentials and supporting the vaccination centre.

Elected as a Town Councillor in 2002, Charlotte led several community projects including the Castle Meadow outdoor gym, Minster Street Adventure Trail, the Wilton flag, and improved street signage—many inspired by her travels.

A resident of Wilton Hill Estate, I am a mother, volunteer, and advocate for inclusion and diversity. Originally from Germany, I moved to the UK in 1992 and now dedicate my time to community work. I am Jewish and serve as a Deputy on the Board of Deputies of British Jews, a member of Wiltshire’s Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education , and founder of the Salisbury Women’s Interfaith Group which meets in Wilton Place care home every month.

Transparency, inclusion, and youth empowerment are central to my work. I am proud to support Seeds4Success, a charity helping young people thrive. I also want to encourage more public participation in council meetings, your voice matters.

The Mayor’s Charity for 2025/2026 will be Seeds4Success.

Peter, a lifelong Wilton resident, has been deeply involved in community service since childhood. He was active in the Wilton Scout Group, served as a retained Leading Firefighter (1975–2001), and ran Wilton Alarm Services and Crazy Costume. He held leadership roles in the Salisbury Chamber of Commerce and retired in 2018.

 

Peter served as a Town Councillor from 1986 to 2022, including terms as Mayor. He co-founded Wilton Town Youth FC, chaired the Retained Firefighters Union, and was a school governor.

Currently, he is treasurer or trustee of several local organisations including the Wilton Community Land Trust, Wilton Carnival, and Wilton Men’s Shed, which he built. He’s also active in Wilton Rotary, serving as President during and after the COVID pandemic.

His interests include motorcycling, golf, shooting, and he’s a life member of CAMRA and a singer in Wilton Voices Choir. He’s known for organising Wilton’s Christmas Tree lighting for over 30 years.

Claire has been a resident of Wilton for over 6 years. She works as a full time manager in financial services and has done so for over 20 years.

Claire wants to help Wilton Town Council and the community to continue working together and bring a fresh voice to the town.  Claire is keen to keep the town bright and vibrant and listen to the residents to ensure we all have a voice in Wilton.

Chris's background has equipped him with valuable skills in organisation, strategic planning, and effective execution – qualities that he hopes will contribute to the town council and drive engagement , transparency and progress for the Wilton community.

Phil is an experienced local councillor having previously served:

  •  Woodford Parish Council from 1964 until 1974
  • Amesbury Rural District Council 1965 until 1974 serving on the Housing and Planning Committees
  • Wilton Town Council 1982 until 1985
  • Wilton Town Council 2005 until 2021 serving as Mayor 2013 to 2017 and again 2021 for one year.

 

Phil was employed as a Telephone Engineer with British Telecom, progressing to become a full time Union Official with the Communication Workers Union.

Globally, Phil led the last cultural delegation to the Soviet Union in 1991, just three months before the collapse of the Soviet Union and was an international Observer at the Belarus Presidential Election in 2006. He has just retired as Chair of the Cultural Society for Cultural Relations with Russia and the former States of the former Soviet Union.

In addition to his duties as a local councillor he continues to volunteer at Salisbury District Hospital.
