Wilton Jubilee Beacon plus special guests!

Wilton was honoured to have Bear Grylls and Lord Pembroke to help the 1t Wilton Scouts light it's Beacon on Thursday evening. The Beacon was lit next to The Beacon Oak, a memorial Oak tree planted on the site of the beacon for the Queens Coronation in 1953. Wilton Town Councils current Mayor, Cllr Andy Kinsey, was also in attendance both representing the Town Council and also as he is the Group Scout Leader of the 1st Wilton Scout Group.

The Beacon lighting was also covered by the BBC and Wilton made it to national TV!
