Wilton is a thriving Market Town with plenty of independent shops and an active local community. Local shops include bakers, a hardware store, several independent cafes and a chemists, all in close proximity to the market square.

Town Trail

For those visiting the town, or just wanting to get to know about the area, there is a fun and fascinating Town Trail taking you around all the major sights in Wilton, including Wilton House, the Market Square, Felt Factory and St Mary & St Nicholas Church.

Market day

Market Day is every Thursday and an important part of life in the town. The market is located in the Market Square in the centre of Wilton and free parking is available at Wilton Town Council’s car park on South Street.

Free parking is available for up to 2 hours in the Market square (apart from Market Day) plus a free car park a short walk away from the Market Square on South Street.

Wilton House

Set in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside and home to the Earls of Pembroke since the 1540s, the stunning Wilton House and its grounds offers a wonderful day out for all the family. Wilton House also hosts several events during the year, including Wilton Wake Up, Horse Trials, Antiques Fairs, the Wessex Country Fair and several charity events. Do you have your own transport and looking to volunteer in Wilton? Wilton Link provides a valuable service to many in our community, helping those who have no transport, and they are looking for locals to join their team. For more information please call 01722 684845
Anybody can use the Wilton Link, and there is no set charge for the service. You just give what you can.

Entrain Space is a vibrant community of new homes for veterans and retirement living incorporating an enterprise hub and kitchen.
