Wilton is a thriving Market Town with plenty of independent shops and an active local community. Local shops include bakers, a hardware store, several independent cafes and a chemists, all in close proximity to the market square.

  • Town Trail

    For those visiting the town, or just wanting to get to know about the area, there is a fun and fascinating Town Trail taking you around all the major sights in Wilton, including Wilton House, the Market Square, Felt Factory and St Mary & St Nicholas Church.

  • Market day

     

    Market Day is every Thursday and an important part of life in the town. The market is located in the Market Square in the centre of Wilton and free parking is available at Wilton Town Council’s car park on South Street.

  • Parking

     

    Free parking is available for up to 2 hours in the Market square (apart from Market Day) plus a free car park a short walk away from the Market Square on South Street.

  • Wilton House

     

    Set in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside and home to the Earls of Pembroke since the 1540s, the stunning Wilton House and its grounds offers a wonderful day out for all the family. Wilton House also hosts several events during the year, including Wilton Wake Up, Horse Trials, Antiques Fairs, the Wessex Country Fair and several charity events.   • Allotments

    There are allotments in Wilton and these are managed by Wilton Estate.  For more information please contact the Estate Office on 01722 746700.

  • Wilton Link

     

    Do you have your own transport and looking to volunteer in Wilton? Wilton Link provides a valuable service to many in our community, helping those who have no transport, and they are looking for locals to join their team. For more information please call 01722 684845

     

    Anybody can use the Wilton Link, and there is no set charge for the service. You just give what you can.

  • Our Wilton

     

    Entrain Space is a vibrant community of new homes for veterans and retirement living incorporating an enterprise hub and kitchen.   • Wilton Community Centre

     

    The Community Centre is a vital part of our community in Wilton and as well as having rooms for hire there are regularly community event and fundraisers held at the centre, including a weekly Country Market. Visit their website for more information.

  • Wilton Library

    The library is located on South Street and is open Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturday mornings. Wilton Library is a valuable resource for locals and has  friendly staff who are always willing to help.  Contact details and opening times can be found online here.

    Located on the Market Square the Baptist Church run a variety of events for all ages during the week in addition to their Sunday services – visit their website for more information.

    Wilton Town Council look after three Public Access Defibrillators. These are located at:
