New Mayor & Deputy Mayor of Wilton for the 2026-2027 Civic Year.

Cllr Chris Harrison, Mayor of Wilton, and Cllr Charlotte Blackman, Deputy Mayor

At last night’s Annual Meeting of the Town Council, Councillors voted to elect a Mayor & Deputy Mayor of Wilton for the 2026-2027 civic year.

Wilton can trace it’s Mayors back to William Isembard in 1256AD, two years before the main body of Salisbury Cathedral was completed.

Cllr Chris Harrison was elected as the 633rd Mayor of Wilton. He will be joined by Cllr Charlotte Blackman as Deputy Mayor. Huge congratulations to both of them.

Chris & Charlotte first took on these roles earlier this year, following Cllr Boyd stepping down as Mayor. They now have the opportunity to fulfill a full year in their respective roles, leading the Council and representing our wonderful town. We hope they both have a fantastic year!

Each year, the Mayor selects a local charity to fund-raise for throughout their term. Cllr Harrison’s nominated charity will be announced in due course.
