Road Closure notification - Wessex Water

From Wessex Water: 

Flood alleviation work – Wilton, Salisbury

We are carrying out essential flood alleviation work on our sewerage network in multiple locations in Wilton from Monday 11 October 2021 for approximately four weeks. The nature of this work unfortunately means there will be short road closures in place at these locations.

Below you will find a map with the road closures marked on the sections of road where we will be working.

Key dates:

·        Closure of Crow Lane and Russell Street (green) – 11 to 15 October 2021.

·        Closure of Water Ditchampton (blue) – 18 to 22 October 2021.

·        Closure of The Hollows (red) – 25 to 29 October 2021

How will the work affect you?
While Crow Lane, Russell Street and Water Ditchampton are closed, there will be a signed diversion route to direct people unfamiliar with the area around our work. Access will be maintained for residents but may be delayed during the daytimes. Normal access will resume during the evenings but please take care when driving near our working areas.

As The Hollows is a no through road, we will be unable to maintain vehicle access to properties while we are working. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

The work will be carried out using ‘no-dig’ techniques, which are quicker and less intrusive than excavating trenches in the road.

What should you do?
You don’t need to do anything. You can continue to use your water and sewerage services as normal.
