Mayor raises over £5500 during term in office.

Published: 27 May 2021

Following the end of his term as Mayor of Wilton, Cllr Andrew Kinsey has commented: "I would like to thank everyone who supported me with my Mayor's Appeal for 1st Wilton Scout Group and Salisbury District Scout's Campsite Quest. During my eight months as Mayor of Wilton Town Council, I'm pleased to say we raised just over £5,500 through virtual Christmas workshops, selling Wilton jigsaw puzzles and collecting books, CDs and DVDs.

Although my Mayoral reign and Appeal has now ended, the Scouts will continue to collect books, CDs and DVDs towards their funds."

Given the exceptional and difficult year we have had with Covid-19, to raise over £5500 is a phenomenal effort and we are sure the monies will be extremely helpful for both charities - well done Cllr Kinsey.
